Per Radio Insight...Educational Media Foundation has agreed to purchase WLUP for $21.5 million and will convert the station to non-commercial status upon closing of the sale. EMF’s “K-Love” Christian AC network is currently heard in the Chicago market on 94.3 WJKL Glendale Heights. I must have been the only guy who didn't really get Brandmeier. Tried to like him so many times but it never happened. Remember he also had a late night show on NBC that lasted like 2 weeks? The best description of his band I heard was they were a poor man's Huey Lewis and the News. I dont know if that is a compliment. |
