First of all, thank you to bigfan, I mean the three wisemen for once again green lighting this. There is a section created for it. This will be the only thread for this posted anywhere but the CFMB March Madness section but I may bump it from time to time. This will be the tenth annual March Madness tournament. 2009 winner: Dr. Kenneth Noisewater 2010 winner: rogers park bryan 2011 winner: Terry's Peeps 2012 winner: Douchebag 2013 winner: OKC 2014 winner: Darkside 2015 winner: Don Tiny 2016 winner: JORR 2017 winner: Furious Styles 2018 winner: You? 68 players will be chosen by the selection committee(me). The general criteria for this will be: Board history Performance since last April Increased importance for these: Performance since the new year Performance from now until selection day. This will be scheduled to start this week, and all rounds will be done by PM/posting your vote instead of voting on the poll I'll be spreading it out a little more for the first rounds. Since I will be in charge of counting the votes, I am also now ineligible to be in it, so congratulations 69th best poster on the board, you made it! The first four matchups will start today, or tomorrow, or Monday. If you feel you may be on the bubble for this then post your way into the tournament. I will be watching. Every year there are people who post in this thread who make it but otherwise wouldn't. Please, no PMs. Seeding will be based not only on where they would rank but also to make interesting matchups in the first round. Good luck to all participants and if you didn't make the tournament this year then post better. |

This is the last time I'll say it, but I would highly recommend posting in here if you think you are on the "bubble". Every year there are people who get into the tournament based on it. It's no guarantee but it certainly helps. |

Now would also be a good time to make it clear you must have 500 posts to be a valid vote, and votes this week and later don't count so don't pull a NSJ. |

Bob is correct. Furious had a tournament run for the ages but he couldn’t keep up that level of posting for the entire season. |

One one side of the bracket I think Caller Bob will come out in the finals. He had a strong 2017 with his Cubs/Sox related post plus all the other posts he's contributed to. On the other side, ppl may not like this, but America should come out. Ya he pisses everyone off with his anti-American stance, but he posts a shit lot of stuff. But he'll probably get knocked off early due to the political shenanigans of the selection committee. |
