As a lifelong fan,this was a disturbing read. Where is the Disney company to watch over the man that has put billions of dollars in their pockets?

Yeah this is really sad. Looks like he made some bad business decisions before he got sick. He should be making far more money off the franchise than he is. Also Disney should make sure he's taken care of in his final days.

well i'm sure jack kirby and the other dude would find this to be some kind of poetic justice given that stan lee was kind of the business guy to their creative guy/s and he ended up becoming the face of marvel comics.... and what a face it was!

maybe y'all can see why my grandpa kept me on retainer for a handful of years b4 i took over and made sure the guy never went in a nursing home? i'm paying the price for that now what with the gaping hole in my resume and my inherent lack of a career/financial-foundation.... but i had the guy's back and i'd be dead at age 7 if not for him, so it goes.

He's not really affiliated with the company anymore outside of just being a mascot at this point. I read the company is still paying him $1 million annually even if he doesn't want to do a single thing, and he also receives royalties for characters he created. He seems to have just surrounded himself with terrible people and has had a history his entire life making poor financial decisions.
