I always ask for a "large black' or even a "large hot black", but only at DD. I have had to add hot to the description because of the proliferation of ice coffees. |

It was stupid of the manager to ask them to leave (assuming the place wasn't overcrowded and he wasn't legitimately trying to make room for paying customers), and even more stupid to call the police, but why is it assumed it was racial? Also, just saw this in USA Today: Quote: It came as Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson offered apologies after employees in one of the company's Philadelphia stores called the police to report two well-dressed black men were trespassing Thursday by refusing to leave when they hadn't ordered drinks or food. One had asked to use a restroom and was denied, saying it was only for paying customers. Well-dressed? They were in sweats (not that it matters...just weird the writer would say that). |
