Post subject:  Staying awake caffeine sober
My kid just knocked over my latte and I considered getting a straw and drinking it up. Is this a real thing? It seems like it's an impossible task.

I don't know how you all do it. I avoid energy drinks because they make my teeth sensitive and I avoid coffee because I tried Starbucks twice and it made my heart race to the point I almost (probably should have) drove myself to the hospital.

A couple of weeks ago my sleep deprivation was catching up to me. I was extremely tired but I had some work that I needed to finish. I bought some cheap coffee from Aldi's and drank a decent size cup (I believe 12oz) at about 5pm. My heart didn't race but I couldn't fucking go to bed. I ended up getting 2 hours of sleep.

You're doing it wrong.

I drink a pot a day...but I don't drink anything with caffeine (coffee or iced tea) after about 2-3 in the afternoon...water, lemonade, beer, whisky...that's about it.
