Leave the air on for dog when we are at work since he has a thick coat. Turn it off and open windows when home. |

Yeah dude you kinda have to with a poochie and closed windows during the day. My wife works from home and had the windows and doors open all day and it's still like 84 in here. Maybe my cat is hot. |

Not until the wife and oldest son's allergies kick in. And even then only when they're here. Thank goodness we live by the lake. |

For example Air Scrubber. Does some pretty amazing stuff.... hooks right into your ductwork and does a number of allergies, bacteria, virus... shit like that. |

Do what I do and tell her allergies are all mental and that she is mentally weak. I say the same about her asthma. Yea, she gets pissed but it's funny. |

But after I finish the replacement of some windows, I'm looking into it. Thanks. |

I just used to have her pay the summer time ComEd bills. |

It's not yet hot enough to start it. |

No way. I'll wait until a high 80's or 90° day. I love the heat. Especially this time of year. In late August I could consider the A/C a little more liberally. My GF moves in with me in late June. I may have less of a vote... |

Yes,it was hot! Our central air unit is like 30 years old but still does the job. It's hardly been worked on,too. |

The tower management won't turn it on till June. Hooked up the LG portable unit today. Feels good to dial it down to 65 and hibernate after some cocktails. |

Had windows open last night and it was glorious. Pretty sure the air was on during the afternoon the last few days to keep the dog cool. |

It was 80 in the house yesterday. The wind whips through the bedrooms, but doesn't really cool the living room given our layout and with the southern exposure. Living room gets stagnant so, I had to turn it on yesterday. |
