How many cops does it take to fill out a parking ticket?

Ten! Four to hold the recipient down, one to taze him, and five to stand around watching.

Washington Post:

Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said in a brief statement that officers had been disciplined for acting “inappropriately” when they “decentralized, tased and arrested” Brown.

What does "decentralize" mean?

They told him to "spread em"?

No need to bring awareness to police brutality. It doesn't exist.

Well, context is important. Skip to the eight minute mark, but if you're looking for fireworks this probably isn't your deal.

They told him to get his hands out of his pockets, which is totally reasonable to request, he argued saying that he was "cold" and "had stuff in his hands". Then he got the exact type of treatment one should expect when disobeying a police order that has to do directly with officer safety.

This is the ultimate litmus test to tell if the media can actually tell you what you are physically watching in a video.

Why are cops on private property trying to enforce parking regulations?

Businesses routinely enter into agreements with municipalities to enforce handicaped parking violations.

This obviously got out of hand, but if he wasn't the asshole who parked across two handicaped parking spots the cops wouldn't have been there in the first place.

He wanted a confrontation. Just saying "yea sorry officer that's on me" ends the situation right there. But he wanted to have a big argument with police because...well we all know why.

Who’s more to blame for what happened? You seem to be implying it’s more Brown’s fault. That’s not the case.

I'm not. But i get irrationally pissed off when people illeagly park in handicaped parking spaces. Obviously that doesn't justify a police beat down, but it pisses me off to no end. If he obeyed the law and parked where he was supposed to in the first place this never would have happened. This is a professional athlete taking parking spots away from the handicaped. I know that's not the real issue here, but it's the first thing I thought of when the video started rolling.

-giving police your name doesn't incriminate you
-providing your drivers license doesn't incriminate you

refusing to give an officer space to work because "I diddn do nuffin" (lmao, perfect) is going to escalate the situation 100% of the time

I love this statement. This and pointing out some unrelated crime (like the theft of a piece of candy at 3 years old) used to justify the actions of officers always warm my heart.

My opinion is not much, if any. You can be a jerk to cops without getting tased. Well, at least I can. I wonder what the difference is between me and Sterling Brown.

if they knew you were in the service they may let you go because they dont like hassling people with ptsd (not saying you have it, but cops are just naturally sympathetic to people who were in the military), but other than that if you were this much of an asshole and put your hands in your pockets THEN ARGUED WHEN THEY TOLD YOU TO TAKE YOUR HANDS OUT OF YOUR POCKETS you'd be arrested. zero doubt.

What I did to the cop who came storming into my backyard was much worse than what this guy did. That cop was pissed but did nothing. Course he was in the wrong the whole time.

In what way, shape, or form did I say what he did justifies the actions of the officers? Go ahead and make thing up like MANY here do. I believe I said the opposite. In case you missed it I'll say it again - the officers were wrong.
