Saw Eddie Griffin in Las Vegas and was surprised at how funny he was. Wife wanted to see him and I was like, "Who the fuck is Eddie Griffen, that guy from Malcom and Eddie?"

He said he made a joke about wanting to fuck M.Obama and now he has to do these shitty Vegas shows.

Agree with Griffin. He’s had some really great specials.

This is a tough one. Most comics I think are great are rated great. I’d have to think about it.

The guy from Cash Cab. Caught what I recall was one of those cut-down 30 minute specials Comedy Central used to put out, and he was surprisingly funny as hell. I think he tended to avoid vulgarity, probably to protect that Discovery Channel money when it was coming in.

You're reading those peculiar magazines again, aren't you?

Robert Schimmel was really funny. Saw him a couple of times on HBO back in the day, but I've never met anyone else who's heard of him. I guess he was on Howard Stern a lot. Unfortunately, he died a few years ago.

Paul Mooney is the man. He was great on Chappelle's Show, but his stand up kills.

Schimmel was great. I was reminded of him when we were talking about Dicaro’s trip to Pakistan. He said he hated when he traveled on those small planes where they ask you your weight so they can balance the two sides and make sure the overall weight is under the plane’s limit. Invariably a woman would say, “I’m 120.” Schimmel would then respond, “yeah, right lady, now I have to tell the pilot I’m 315.”

The 'Unknown Comic" from the gong show.
Hell, the whole Gong Show was underrated. Classic American Comedy, amiright?

I don’t know if Bob Zany is underrated amongst the 40-and-over crowd, but that guy is awesome. I keep waiting for him to come through the Chicagoland area. He’ll be at these locations in the fall:

Fairview Heights, IL
Logansport, IN
Shelbyville, IN
Dubuque, IA
Cedar Rapids, IA

All locations are like 250-350 miles away.
