Possibly an all-timer unfolding at Wimbledon right now. John Isner of the 70-68 fifth set fame against Kevin Anderson in the semi-finals.

7-6 6-7 6-7.... if this makes a fifth set it may never end.

I was watching the second set before I left for work. A lot of unforced errors at the time. I'll try to stream it.

Match won't end until a break of serve.

7-6 6-7 6-7 6-4 5-5.

Anderson with a break point chance that was aced away. Either is celebrating getting 2 points against a service.

They can cancel the final at this point. Just give the trophey to the Nadal/Djokivic winner.

If you aren't familiar with Isner's previous match from 8 years ago.

This is kinda of the sports equivalent of the politics forum.

Endless back and forth yet no one actually gaining an advantage.

Touche, although I did enjoy procedural fighting at the Strork hearing.

No, there does not need to be any rules change ... the announcer got a tad too self-righteous about that point right there.

Big time. This happening every decade is more likely to draw fans to the sport. A 7-6 tiebreaker would be completely anticlimactic compared to this.

The downside is the finals are likely destroyed at this point. But 5 sets of tiebreaks already left them useless most likely.

If they break for rain, do they let Nadal/Djokovic play through?

Isner is the king of matches like this. He’s been on so many ridiculous 5 set matches.

Pulling for Isner, but he is waiting for a break. Has nothing left.

This is why women shouldn’t get equal pay. These guys have played basically 7 sets right now.

I think they said Isner has made more serves this match than serena in the tournament.
