MANY on the board go so far as to lovingly recall the fond days of Stalinism and life under the Soviet boot. In the media too. I am curious why exceptions are made for them. Why their behavior is constantly excused and how it is "cute" to be enamored with repressive Soviet puppet governments like the DDR. |

Who has spoken fondly of the USSR here? If anything, I think I've complained about DSA types being too in love with the USSR. |

The unbanning of America was NOT a net positive. |

You have to remember America is basically a Nazi now. |

Reader in particular is infatuated with the repressive East German government. But it's generally a reference to the authoritarian lefties who dont really like democracy and favor corporate control of free speech. |

Well, in truth, it was a great country. Very free, very diverse. Oswald was a bigfan. In all honesty, its citizens enjoyed more freedoms than most any other country I can think about. |

I'm sure the USSR had some good ideas if you're willing to overlook the Ukrainian genocide. |

Marching entire Belorussian families into German machine guns for no discernable reason is not technically a genocide but may was well be. |

I suspect he is part of some sleeper cell. I think Kirkwood is Ukranian so keep an eye on him as well. You never know if he comes from the group that hated Russian rule or the ones that welcome them to take over again. As for Reader and I, we are proud progeny of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, who have traditionally opposed the rus over the last millennium. |

America is overly sensitive and dramatic. |
