Also I live 5 minutes from a place that sells my smokes for $8 and I sometimes buy them downtown for $15 (i need to quit for good)

I don't know if this qualifies, but I bought a sweatshirt at Costco but it was too short on me so I was going to take it back. When we went the next time I left it in the car and we were already at the point where we have to prove our identities more than I had to in order to vote so I decided I would just keep it instead. When we were leaving, the line was like 8 people deep in the returns and I felt good about my decision.

Uber Eats now will price delivery based on the distance you live from the restaurant. I paid .$99 for delivery the other day. I'm not sure what the agreement with their drivers are but that would piss me off.

I am a total Walgreens-phile. I just love the convenience of knowing were everything is, and getting in and out.

I almost never even glance at the price, although I am pretty sure I am being gouged in exchange for the convenience.

Used to be for parking in the Loop or in River North.

I'm staggered each time I've seen the prices even compared to ten years ago when I still would do it.

I'm a fan of convenience over price, but I can't stand stopping at Walgreens or CVS. Whenever I go in those places there's only one register open, operated by someone that should have retired 20 years ago, and I end up waiting in a line that is 8-10 deep.

This, way back in the day.

Beer from a gas station. General Walgreen's items as well, but I try not to make a habit of going into their stores. The drive thru pharmacies help with this a lot.

RPB, jump on I57 to I80 and buy your smokes at 183rd & Harlem...Will County.

Don't forget the old lady with 20 coupons and the cashier who is encouraging her to use more.

I once went out and bought some new underwear because I didn't want to go to the laundromat.

It was a really cold winter night and a bunch of us were at O'Callghan's on Hubbard. We decided we were going to head over to Coyote Ugly which was on Erie. It's not that long a walk but it was fucking cold so we were gonna cab it. (This story predates Uber.)

We came out and there were about 30 people waiting for taxis. I was freezing my balls off. A black dude driving a stretch limo with no one in back pulled up. I asked him how much to take us to Coyote Ugly. He said he couldn't do it. I said, "There's 4 of us. How about $40 a guy?" He said, "Get in!"

My friends still give me shit for paying $160 for a three block ride.

Not quite the same but when I lived on the south side but partied up north, sometimes Id take a $60 cab ride over sleeping on a friend's couch.

The delivery charge isn't what comes to mind. The upcharge for the food is what I'm thinking of.

I've bought headphones in airports at least 4 times. That's like $100 worth of headphones and literally none of them are worth using.

I've done the limo ride home from a Cub game because I didn't want to wait 2 hrs for a train.

I went for the cheapest sound dampening, over the ear headphones at an airport...They're OK, but I easily paid double. I think I paid $120

When I was underage, I once paid $200 for a bottle of Jack Daniels and a gram of cocaine. The laws of supply and demand become very clear at 4:00 AM on a Sunday morning.

I shudder to think what I paid for beer on ill planned college Sundays in the dry state of Georgia.

But it beat the 45 minutes drive to Tennessee friends in school in Alabama made.

Dude, you are not being very observant.

Any Walgreens BlackBelt knows hot to use photo counter, makeup counter, or pharmacy to ring shit up in a jif.

That is like my M.O. for underwear and socks. I do this about once per year.
