I just recently realized I have an aversion to long threads.

Seems like I consciously and purposely stay away from threads over, say, 5 pages.

A good 3-5 pager will get me to click, though.

Actually, I wish there was a mute button or a way to back out of threads that get too long.

It is so "ugh" to see a 186-pager keep popping up in the "View your Post" section, which is always my 1st refresh when logging in. The "View Active Topics" link is always my second click.

I'm not adverse to reading "re-lit" old threads, as long as they are, say, under the 5 page limit.

lol just thought I'd vent.

Please don't turn this tread into a threadaconda itself!

If it feels like it has potential to have gone completely off the rails, I might peek in in a 7 or 8 pager. 10 or 12, I am generally out.

Boilermaker Rick has a thread called "Threads that seem boring but really aren't." That's helped me out in the past.
