Speaking of music videos on the local UHF band, does anyone remember that "JukeBox TV" gimmick that was on something like channel 23 back in the late 80s / early 90s? I remember catching some videos on it before walking to school as a kid, but it's hard to find info on it nowadays (read: it'd prolly take 2-3 Google searches before I discover anything) Edit = I'm pretty sure it was this syndicated/ish network here |

We moved away in 1979. So, I missed all the channel jockeying after 44. In the Illinois Valley, I would venture to guess that there are just as many Cardinal fans as White Sox fans. That was one of the first of many things I found odd moving away from the city... why are there so many Cardinal fans? I do believe that the Cubs have the majority of fans down here. Always have - large part due to your point, ltg - WGN. |

Yeah, out here I’d say more cardinals than White Sox but it’s pretty solid Cubs for most part with a few random teams tossed in. |

The superstation was also why there are so many nationwide Cub fans. More exposure equals more fans. Who’d a thunk it. One kid in the neighborhood had Sportsvision. If you wanted to see Sock games, you had to go to his house. |
