The day after I got canned, Mancow sent Turd the Bartender to the parking lot of the Blockbuster Music across the street holding a sign that said "Pee on Mee". My buddy, who was a school photographer for the paper, too a picture with the school issued camera and was fired for turning it in for publication like a week later. The topper was on the Thursday before Homecoming my senior year, it got out that a bunch of the starters on the football team got arrested for underage drinking in Platteville that summer...all seniors, all kicked off the team. Honestly, I thought it was fucking hilarious at that point because the dipshit administrators were so interested in protecting these little assholes...one of my buddies was on the team, and he said the head coach was in tears when he told the rest of the team those idiots got suspended. Funny thing was that the junior backup QB that wound up taking over was better than the starter...the starter only had his job because his brother was the QB that won the school their only state football title ever, and the head coach was the OC at the time. |

My junior year, I was starting 1st baseman on the varsity baseball team. We took a spring trip to SIU where we were going to play some exhibition games. 8 of us contributed random small amounts of money to a recent alum down at SIU to get us a bottle of Jack. One of the idiots on the team almost got caught walking down the hall of the hotel with the as yet unopened bottle. Next thing you know, this dumbass comes back into our hotel room followed by an assistant coach telling everyone to get back to their rooms for lights out. On the way out, he sees the bottle behind to door, that's where our genius buddy dropped it. The next thing you know, we're on a bus back home. The school tried to get us to pin it on one of the lesser players. We all stuck together and got kicked off the team and suspended. Never touched the bottle, much less drank any of it. Lesson learned was that school bureaucracies are full of idiots. It was too bad, we had a state championship caliber team. |

The only thing I can really think of that was a big deal was stealing my old man's car after he fell asleep when I was 15. I had gotten away with it several times that summer already. He's always been a guy that goes to bed early, so one night I come home and all the lights are off and it's around 10 PM. I thought for sure he was asleep. Took the car like I did several times before. About 30 minutes later I'm in Algonquin and my Nokia phone starts ringing and Dad pops up on Caller ID. Definitely a heart attack type moment. I end up driving back home and as I pull in the driveway and get out of the car he comes running outside. I start running around the car away from him trying to catch me like a Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon. Eventually my mom comes out and tells us to get in the goddamn house and she assures me my dad isn't going to hit me if I do. We go in and my dad immediately starts smacking the shit out of me calling me a dumbass Turns out they weren't asleep, they were a few houses down at the neighbors house. |

I was an Angel in HS. I was the only person in my graduating class that never had a detention. I was a great fucking kid. I also went to a HS in the middle of a cornfield where all the girls were smart, then 3 other dudes, then me... so...it was easy to not get caught. |
