My guess is that he would be #1 or #2. Probably would complain about the field surface though... he's more of a field turf guy.

I'm gonna say bernstein is just a tad young to be a superior player in spite of him growing up on the vast lawns of Deerfield. I will guess that the real Boomers are tops at swinging a mallet. I'm sure Mac executed a triple peel on occasion back in the early seventies.

We have played this a few times over recent years at family events. Gets people more involved. I am sure we don't do it all the right way but it can be entertaining and fun.

I think people misperceive his upbringing. His father is from Omaha so my guess is he had Midwest sensibilities even though he was a big earner. All the affectations were learned behavior from his peer group, not his family.

My family had a set. I believe this was always the end result when my brother and I got them out. That, and a hybrid croquet/longest drive competition.
