Thought of this and wrote up a few -- feel free to contribute others.

Basically how this works is:
I was a three time Gold Glove winning first baseman who once won the NL batting title with the Cubs, but I also managed to get in a bit of hot water when I talked to Les after a game.

The answer to that:
Derrek Lee Elia

So the last name of one guy, is the first name of another -- got it? Try these:

1)
I was a HOF slugger on the Southside as well as a tough over-the-middle receiver for the Bears.

2) As a two-way defenseman, I was named to the "100 Greatest NHL Players" in history team while playing for the Hawks, but would go on to take over the closer role from Bob Howry for the 2000 White Sox

3) I played for many MLB teams, but only had the yearly stolen bases record with the Sox when I swiped 68... I also won the Norris Trophy three consecutive years from '63 to '65 and played with Moose Vasko on the Chicago blue line.

4) I started at left tackle for a couple of years in the early 2010s for the Bears, but later would go on to win the US Open and a couple of President's Cups (and I probably visited Chicago at some point.)

5) A brief NFL career had me returning punts for the 1985 Bears, but now I am pitching AAA ball in Iowa.

Click here for the answers if you need enlightenment.

My career OBP was the highest by a third baseman until Wade Boggs surpassed it, and while Sammy Sosa broke almost all of my Cub records, he never came close to the MLB one I'm famous for.

I am a donut eating decathalon champion sibling, and I also won the 1981 IHSA football championship and dominated in water polo for over a decade with Eddie Olczyk as one of my notable alumni.

Someone Hack Wilson?
Stan Hack Wilson?
Mike Schmidt....that one doesn't make sense.

Edit: Do one with Brooks Robinson Cano. That'd be awesome.

Oh, I got one, but it's only half sports:

I'm a low center of gravity Badger who rolled over the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl and I have a big ass, and I am also that one singer who totally messed up my face with plastic surgery, looking like I have a fat lip and swollen cheeks, and my songs suck and I'm a loser.

Also you could insert the fall guy's top lieutenant in Miller's Crossing.

Finally made one up:

I used to play QB for the Seahawks and then when I was like 56 the Bears brang me in for a year, and I was the White Sox's 5'7" inch super-sub who took Nolan Ryan deep.

(Winter rules on the spelling, and note the lack of race mixing. If God wanted us to mix, she'd a made us all the same color. #troof #stonewall #flavorflav)

Not Chicago related

I am a baseball executive known for signing a player who broke the most significant barrier in sports; I am a baseball player known for stealing things on a baseball field.

Chicago related:

I was involved in perhaps the most famous trade in Cubs history; I played running back for the Bears.

I own at least a 1/3 stake in ChicagoFanatics.com, and was suspended and sent to the radio room for the "school bus incident" when I was out on patrol.

I am a semi-literate CFMB poster with dozens of advanced degrees and an obnoxious homosexual TV show host who drives around to various diners.

I played my college ball at Illinois before being drafted by San Francisco. After playing for several other teams including the Bears I fell into Mr. Peabody's WABAC Machine and emerged as a familiar broadcast voice of several Chicago teams, most notably the Blackhawks.

I played in the NBA for several seasons with 4 different teams, made an all star game one season, my brother played for a decade in the NBA also... I was a college legend and had a solid NBA career but could have been a top 10 all timer if not for injuries.
