If a kid does an awful thing there must be an awful punishment. Old school is to hit and hurt. I don’t subscribe to that but it’s ingrained. |

A kid tells a doctor that maybe he has a bruise because his mom hit him with a belt. Doctor calls DCFS. DCFS talks to the kid and doesn't take custody of the kid. Kid later is killed by his mom and dad. Everyone is now freaking out wondering why oh why DCFS didn't take the kid from his parents sooner. If people are comfortable rolling back one constitutional right under the auspices of protecting children, why not other as well? I mean more children would be protected, right? |
