What's the most you've spent on cologne for yourself and what brand?

"No, she gets a special cologne. It’s called Sex Panther by Odeon. It’s illegal in nine countries. Yep, it’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good."

My natural scent is very pleasing. No need for flower water.

I just grind up some Patchouli, the hippie ladies love it.

Not expensive, but years ago I bought some cologne from a pharmacy in Buenos Aires (it was the store label). Some of the best-smelling cologne ever. Wish I had purchased more - now I don't even remember the name.

Does anyone remember Cool Water? That's the only brand I remember purchasing besides Brut.

preface to this post: I don't sweat. like at all. its got to be the middle of summer for me to sweat.

basically i'm not conscious about my smell at all. i shower at night and slap deodorant on in the morning. Thats about the highest level of odor control i can muster.

a handful of years ago my wife bought this kit from costco which was like ax body spray, deodorant, and soap maybe? my wife began to suspect that i was substituting the spray for showers (she was right) and nixed ever buying that for me again.

she may have mentioned at some point that she would like me to wear cologne but there are lots of things I would like for her to do as well but here we are.

Doris Day died. Awful. She was America's sweetheart for quite a while. Could croon a tune.

I put some extra Mennen Speed Stick on a few hours ago as a tribute.
30 years and counting with the stick.

Thanx for reading.

Drakkar One and Eternity were big in the 80s/90s. Anybody wear cologne anymore?

I’ve never bought cologne in my life. My wife bought me two bottles early in my relationship with for Christmas and birthday. I don’t believe I used much of that Polo or Drakkar Noir and now fragrances in general make her ill.

I have no idea, I just grab one of the bottles the wife has gotten me.

Used to be an Obsession or Liz Claiborne guy. They reminded me of the stuff my then gf and later wife used to wear.

I have a bottle of Polo black and a bottle of Versace Dylan Blue. I only have these because my wife bought them. I wear them when she asks me to, but that's been increasing to almost daily. Does nothing for me, but she likes it.

Italian Cypress - Tom Ford
Oud Wood - Tom Ford
Tobacco Vanille - Tom Ford
Tuscan Leather - Tom Ford (my favorite)
Green Irish Tweed - Creed
Virgin Island Water - Creed

L'Homme - Yves St. Laurent
Bleu de Chanel - Chanel

I rotate depending on the season. The last two are my daily colognes. One spritz and I'm OK for the day. Never go full Persian. The others are kinda expensive stuff so I use sparingly.

I have to admit I just go with what wife likes. Also freely admit that I have no idea what is a good smell or brand since Obsession/Drakkar days of the late 80's early 90's.

If I went into a store blind I would like take a roll of the dice on something by Polo, Hilfiger or Adidas.

Obsession
Eternity

Like the Calvin Klein stuff.

Buyer's tip. Buy the Walgreens knockoffs. Smell great, 1/3 the price.
