Spaulding linked a Jonathan Haidt video that referenced this survey in the Lightfoot thread. This deserves its own thread.

Here is the questionnaire:

I took the survey:

Green is my result.
Blue is the result of all those who identified as liberal who took the survey.
Red is the result of all those who identified as conservative.
Orange is the result of all those who identified as libertarian.

Honestly, ours aren't that far apart except for equity and autonomy (2.4,1.5, 1.1, 2.0, 1.3, 1.6, 0.9). I'd post my results, but I have forgotten how to upload the image

I have an issue with the language in the survey. What the fuck does this mean - It upsets me when people are not loyal to their country.

A good example would be today when we saw people saying that Canadian NBA viewers matter.

I answered 'it does not describe me at all.'

Seems pretty straight forward. What's your issue?

What does it mean to be loyal to one's country? Nothing straight forward about that, in fact, it's about as vague as you can possibly make a statement.

Well, according to the survey scores, being Republican seems to be the only way to start accomplishing being loyal to one's country.

IMU is right.

You're overanalyzing it. Just answer the fucking question.

You know how to answer that. How much value do you put on loyalty?

A lot. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what it means to be loyal to one's country though.

I was. I never got a good answer there either. Maybe you or IMU can help me out since it's apparently a straight forward question

I approached the question like this. I do put a high value on loyalty, but I also understand the idiocy of "my country, right or wrong" so I chose the moderate answer.

IMU is right in that it need not be over-analyzed. There are other questions and taken together they will reveal your values as long as you make your best possible answer.

I put the moderate answer too because the question is meaningless as written IMO and it's necessary to know the meaning of a question in order to give an accurate answer.

I ain't over-analyzing shit chief.
