Into my home . Never had an issue before, guessing its because its been so wet? They're the little sugar ants looks like and not a big deal so far BUT I'm looking to nip it in the bud. Without calling Orkin, anyone had success eradicating them on their own? I used diamateceous earth last week but its been so wet that I have to keep replying it and its getting all over the place. Ive heard a vinegar/ water solution sprayed around the entry points, doorways, screen door, etc works too. Or should I just move ? |

Vinegar (I use the apple cider kind) and water (50/50) does work, but it's has the same problem as diatomaceous earth: it washes away. (It can also evaporate.) Keep using either one and then find their nest and attack it. |

Clean up any pepper you have around the house -- ants love pepper. Also, they hate cinnamon, so sprinkle that around your house perimiter. |

i used that terro bait before. not sure if it really works. I use Raid but all that does is move them to another part of the house. Usually they come in because of the weather. Probably the heavy rain destroyed their mound. But when the weather gets better, they will move out of your home and back outside. |

I put an ant bait traps out by the door they were entering through and then I hit the perimeter of the house with some pellet crap and that took care of them. How the hell do I get them out of my garden though? Those fuckers ate all my raspberries last year. |

How the hell do I get them out of my garden though? Those fuckers ate all my raspberries last year. what are the pellets? are they grains you just put out on the lawn? Years ago I hired an exterminator. I asked what the guy used and he said it was a non-commercial product. So I looked it up and for sure, they sold it on Amazon. It was a small bottle that cost like $35 bucks. but that was worth it. All you had to do is take like 3 tablespoons and put it in a gallon of water and spray it around the perimitter of your home. It was for indoor use too but only used it outside. Thing always worked until the rainy season. Immediately would see dead roaches and other insects outside the home. And never had a problem with ants. After you sprayed it it was invisible. How it worked was the insect would walk over it, and whatever the ingredients were would suffocate the insect to death. I wish i remembered the name of it. I'll try to find it. |
