Well what have you got going on? This is the first year without my own dad. My wife and daughter are driving to KC for a summer camp. Just my 12 year old son and I (me?) for the weekend... Maybe hit up the Sox/Yankees game. |

Golf with my old man and uncle (if the weather holds out) Saturday afternoon, follow with MANY beers. Quiet Family day on Sunday with my wife and the little guy. Maybe grill some ribeyes. |

Probably Six Flags if the weather doesn't suck. Probably sit on my ass and drink beer if it does. My wife's company has a fishing derby thing on Saturday morning, so we will take the kids to that...they always enjoy it. |

After 2 years of using a regular Weber grill and the snake / minion method.....wife getting me a smokey mountain. I'll be up at 6:00 AM Saturday to put on the chicken and Reeeeeiiibs. Dad coming over at 1:00. 3 out of our 5 kids will be home, so that's a pretty good day. |

I’m assuming I’ll be in the burbs visiting with the father in law. Been a few months since we’ve had to do that trek so it seems likely. |

Heading back to ye olde stomping grounds to hang out with the folks, my brother, and my daughter, followed by driving to Carbondale for a two-day install job |

My in laws will be here and we didn’t go to KC for his 70th birthday party so we are taking them out on a schooner out on Lake Michigan for 75 minutes. Should be a little chilly so I await all the complaining about how miserable everyone is. At only $25 a head it should be glorious. |

Softball double header followed by team BBQ/pool party on Saturday. So my entire Sunday plan is to sit on couch, have a few drinks, and watch what is hopefully an exciting U.S. Open final round. |

What's up sparkles? Thanks for the call. Great question...not sure what the boys have cooked up to surprise me, but I'm sure it will be great. Gonna go ahead and take in the last day of the US Open, maybe Cubs/Dodgers on the Mothership Sunday night...gonna be a blast. My guy Billy says that the best thing he ever did was be a dad to his two boys...good times. Now, don't leave your dad hanging, Hatchet...we're gonna hook you up with a MyPillow for him, and I'll have Mindy send out a Lou's gift card...take him to a special dinner. Leave your address with Jordan and we'll hook you up. Back to the phones. |

My father in law visit was scheduled for today so I stay home on Sunday. I’m thinking a nap is in my plans. I know... pretty damn exciting. |

I take at least a 2 hour nap a day. Some of it is because of the meds I'm on but napping is great if you can find some time for it. |

My Dad's been gone for four years now, and hers for two. MY boys are both out of town and my daughter works, so a fun day either putting hay up in the loft or cleaning up projects in the shop. Since today was our anniversary and tomorrow my birthday as well, a total lack of any mention of the three would be best for all involved. |

Makes it easier to handle the average 3.5 hours of sleep I get each night, just wish I could get away with a nap at work. |

I wish I could take naps but it screws up my sleep schedule. A 2-hour nap is not a nap. That is going to sleep or what one does when they are extremely hung over. 10-20 minutes is a proper nap, As for napping at work, that is what lunch time is for, either in the car or at a park. |

My dad has been dead three years and hers was never in the picture. One son is on the west coast and the other works. Plus I never considered the day to be about me (it was about my father and grandfather) so I will simply drink a toast to them and either watch golf or go to the track if it warms up a little. In jest I told my wife we should go to the cemetery and drink the toasts there but her (correct) response was that my dad would have said that was the dumbest idea he had ever heard |
