in 3 weeks were going down for a cubs game and staying the night. i find 100 level seats for $150 each, and a hotel in mag mile area for $155. is that about right? bad?

When I was in town a couple weeks ago my friends and I went to the Cubs Cardinals game Saturday night. One of my friends is always great at constantly checking Stubhub, Ticketmaster, etc. shortly before the game starts to see sellers drop prices. We ended up getting box seats. Section 29, row 8 or something. $85 a ticket inclu. fees.

i think the hotel deals are like that too... if you buy last minute you can save more, but risky if its a holiday or big event that sells everything out

If your budget is $450 for tix and a hotel room, you should be fine.

there used to be like a Days Inn or Best Western or some shite @Clark and Diversey. dunno if you fuck with Air BnB but that sometimes can be a cheaper, tho more annoying option. Price gap btw airbnb and the local mkt rate for hotel rooms has narrowed to the point it's almost not worth the hassle of dealing with AirBnB bs in major markets. Still like AirBnB for renting an entire place when you have a larger group. Not so much for individual/couple travel.

A guy who sucks as much as you should have no trouble finding cheap tix and a place to crash in Boystown.

im bringing my girl so the hotel cant be like something i found in indianapolis that one time. also, we will be at a club in river north and ideally just walk back to the hotel

The Godfrey has deals on Expedia. Still going to be around $150.

If you're driving in, expect to pay the hotel valet $65+ for parking. You can come and go as you please. Although, once parked, I would use public transportation or Uber since anywhere you drive will cost you parking fees.

SpotHero app to park instead of the hotel. Lots of garages that are $15-25 for 24 weekend hours. No in and out privileges... but that's why you have your girl with you.

thats not bad. It's downright terrible. You NEVER pay more than $80 for a baseball game.

I suppose $155 in mag mile will do, but you should be able to find a decent place for cheaper as well. Like on priceline or some shit. They have incredible deals (do NOT use hotels.com). For example, I once found a Holiday Inn Express downtown for about $85 for a friend in town. And of course u get a free breakfast too.
