Actually they go hand-in-hand. It’s because of mispronunciation that it is written incorrectly.

Realtor pronounced - ree-lah-tor. Drives me up a wall.
By the way, President Jimmy Carter was the first president to commonly pronounce "nuclear," as "nu-cu-lar."
The odd thing was that he spent his career in the U.S. Navy working in the nuclear submarine program.
He just couldn't pronounce it right.

I cannot believe how many paid professionals on sports radio say "verse" instead of "versus,"
as in "The Bears are playing verse Green Bay today."
I can't believe the bosses don't correct them on this.
