Much to my delight, the Bears are a hot mess. Yes, the situation is bad right now, but being able to pick in the top 3 for an entire draft is one of the only ways I can see this franchise correcting itself after the unforgivable decade of drafts we've witnessed.

That being said, Quarterback is a must need after this season. Regardless if Cutler is released or not, the Bears need to start thinking of future options. Next year's QB class is shaping up to be a once every 10 years or so pool of talent. Yes I know, 1st round QBs are hit or miss, but so is the whole draft.

I chose 4 guys who are receiving 1st round grades around the Internet.

D. Watson- Best runner/passer combo of any prospect. Big game player also.
D. Kizer- Great arm. Good leader. Used to playing in Midwest conditions.
B. Kaaya- Under the radar prospect. Has great accuracy.
C. Kelly- Jim Kelly's nephew. Fearless competitor. Can make all the throws.

Who do you guys think the Bears should draft?

draft a QB who has a strong arm, played in a pro style offense in college, and is over 6'2" tall.... i want no part of a dual threat mobile QB's because there is no history to suggest that type of QB can win a title (Cam got to a SB but he's a freak of nature athletically)

I like Kizer, but ND's track record with NFL QB's is horrible. Plus he plays in a spread. He's got decent scrambling ability, but his arm is pro ready.

Cutler has a pro ready arm too. I'm still waiting for it to develop though.

He's a sophomore. No red shirt. Plus, I want to see him be a better passer before I'd want the Bears to look at him.

I have really been impressed with Kizer. He was thrown in a pressure cooker from his first snap and has always seemed to be above the moment.

My later round guy I am looking at right now is Dobbs from Tennessee. He is big but mobile. He doesn't have a huge arm but it is good. Smart and poised.

Trade down for more/future picks if you're in the Top-5 and Kizer isn't there, take Mason Rudolph in the 2nd or 3rd. I'd be open to this team sucking way out loud to try to draft Josh Rosen after next season.

Rosen has 4tds and 4ints so far this year.

No more trading down. Take a chance on a potential franchise type player. No more trying to be cute trading down, and drafting projects. That's how we ended up in this fucking mess.

Carimi spoiled that for everyone in the future

Continually trade down until you can acquire every 4th round pick in the draft. 3 was a good start last year, but more can be done!!!

I'm not sure the QBs are worth the top investments this year - but they can prove me wrong during the season.

I'd take one in the 2nd or 3rd if the draft were today.

Why do you think the top QBs aren't worthy this year?

You have a better chance hitting on a 1st round QB than a mid rounder.

The Bears have been in QB hell, outside of a couple outlier seasons, for almost 3 decades now. If you miss in the draft, you may be back where you started, but at least you finally took a bold chance to improve your franchise.

I'm looking for sustained success in pro-style offenses from a more traditional pro-style QB. As I said, if the top guys have great years, I'm on board. Even the mobile guys I'm fine with if they demonstrate they can be pass-first and make the big league throws consistently. If Watson or Kizer finish strong, then they're definitely in consideration.

The only guy out of the top 4 prospects for next year's draft who is in a pro style offense this year is Kaaya.

To each is own, but I wouldn't pass up Watson, Kizer, or Kelly if they were still on the board.

And if they have great years, I probably wouldn't, either. If they show some deficiencies, I'm a little scared off. That's all.

Jason Goff told me that Kizer is a better QB than either Goff or Wentz. Guess, he should have waited a little while on that proclamation. It kind of shows you where some of the opinions from the on air talent in sports radio are based. I promise you Goff never saw a full game of Wentz' (and they were available on TV in season).

Anyway, every year we speculate about QB and every year in season is too early to evaluate. The in game review creates a bias for players who may be either helped or hurt by surrounding cast. Unconsidered guys emerge every year.

Mahomes is decent, but I could also see him staying in school one more year to improve draft stock.

I think Chad Kelly will be good. I would not want the Bears to draft him.
