I smoked for 11 years and never felt bad about it. Gave it up back in March. Now whenever I see anyone in front of me buying cigarettes I always silently think to myself what a dumbass they are. Nothing more intrinsic about being human than irrationally feeling superior to those around you.

I root for the White Sox yet harp on others for rooting for a shit team over MANY years.

And congrats on being cig free, FF. I'm sure your lungs and your wallet both feel better.

I still make homophobic statements and jokes but I'll then argue with someone who wants to discriminate against the LGBTQ community.

I hate how some parents take their kids to public places when they are clearly sick and should be at home resting to the point where I hear a kid coughing and I immediately wonder why they are out. However, it's been so common recently that my kid has been dealing with a cough off and on all summer and I've had no choice but to take him out in public too though he isn't nearly as bad as some of the kids were.

Back in August or so, I had my oldest at the store with me. She has the same allergy issues I have when it comes to summer. She sneezed. Some miserable bitch started lecturing me about how I shouldn’t have a sick kid in the store. My only response was, “I didn’t know hayfever was contagious”. Bitch glared at me and another lady in the aisle just started laughing.

People need to mind their own fucking business.

I don’t know how heavy smoker you were but it’s pretty fucking awesome you’re able to quit. From what I hear it’s really really tough to stop .

I've never once had the urge to criticize someone's parenting in public.

What a terrible life one must lead to do so.

It seems pretty easy to spot the difference though. I'm more talking about the kids that have snot running down their nose for the the whole time or have a cough that sounds like they've smoked for 40 years.

A store is also a little different than a shared play area.

Exactly. I may make fun of something, but I won’t talk to them.

Honestly, I got close to saying something when we were flying home on Monday. Parents had what was probably a 9 month old with them and the kid screamed for the entire 7-1/2 hour flight. They made no attempt to try and soothe the baby. They just sat with their headphones on and let the kid scream.

I was pretty heavy. Close to a pack a day. I think I got a lot more lucky than most folks. It only sucked for a few days and it hasn't been a problem since.

One of my late aunts was sitting around one weekend being unusually miserable waiting on payday and looking for a cigarette, couldn't find one, figured out how much her 35 year long two pack a day habit had cost her. She figured it out, got enraged, slung the notebook at wall and quit cold turkey that day.

Thank God I didn't have to around her often after that. She bitched about the money she'd spent until she passed away 20 years later.

Consider religion absurd and crazy. Still go to church a few times a year and observe religious holidays.

Look down at obese people for having no self-control. Am overweight.

I consider police fucking useless assholes. I called the police to file a report when I got hit and run on my bike.

I was raised around a lot of old people and every man except my grandfather smoked a pipe. I haven't seen anyone smoke a pipe with tobacco in about 30 years.

I'm trying it. Sounds dumb for a guy who raises and sells cows for freezer beef. My buddy at work has gone full-on vegan and in about a year lost over 100 pounds and is off all diabetes and blood pressure meds. He is my inspiration (I'm not that far gone, but closer than what I like to admit).

The gay is just gross and unnatural and despite rigorous social conditioning you cant help but mock it.

I fancy myself an at least fairly reformed fella and I still cant really grasp or abide it.
