Any of yous do dis? I’m going to try the 8:16 version. Essentially you are allowed to eat what you want for 8 hours a day. So I can eat from noon -8 pm. Havent lost any weight but seems like it should work. I’ve stopped gorging myself when watching TV and have to drink at work instead of drinking at night. Seems like a win win. |

It's pretty useless unless you eat better so it is better to just eat better. |

Some will say alcohol in any form any time will slow or interfere with weightloss. I kind of do this anyway. I try not to eat after 6 and I eat a late breakfast because I try to workout in the morning and I don't like working out after I eat. |

Breakfast is needed. Not saying you strap on a feed bag and have a stack of pancakes then work out, but a granola bar or banana right when you get up will help everything else out during the day. |

Grandpa: Last Thursday, I turned 95 years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack? |

Furious is a fan of the fast. I enjoy depriving myself. It's very monastic. |

I'm not like Michael Scott where I have bacon on a Foreman grill all set and ready to go as soon as I roll out of bed. I generally have a granola bar or banana while on my way to work (or golf course on the weekends). If my kid gets me up earlier and I have time, then a bowl of cereal before I hit the road generally suffices. |

Breakfast is not needed. There are lots of ways to lose weight. Just pick one and stick to it. But basically dont take in more calories than you use/need. |

I've had little success with the intermittent fasting. I'm up to 17 or 18 minutes between meals/snacks, and can't lose a pound... |

I’ve managed to not gain weight in the last 3 months. But still heavier than I want. |

There's not a secret to it, it just requires doing shit most folks dont want to do. That's the really funny part of this intermittent fasting thing. It claims you can eat a whole pizza for dinner and lose weight because you are only eating for 8 hours a day. So, I can slam 4 donuts for breakfast, a steak burrito for lunch, and a whole pizza for dinner and as long as I start at 10am and end before 6pm the pounds are going to just fall off. I guess if you are eating meals around the clock it would work but I would guess most people aren't eating fourth meal no matter how hard taco bell tries. There is another one where you eat for like 4 hours a day and pretty much eat salad and bone broth but I don't need to lose weight that badly to eat like that. |

I just mean more generally when I hear people talk about "Ohhh how did you lose so much weight?" like it's not plainly obvious to everyone how to accomplish such a thing if you don't have physical setbacks/injuries. |

I've been doing this for 26 years. I rarely, if ever, eat outside of an 8 hour window. |

I typically eat between 4 and 10pm, but I have been trying to eat a banana or apple around 10am. The thing that has made the biggest difference is cutting back on drinking during the week or not drinking for a few days in a row. I feel SO much better and lose weight immediately. |

I have done intermittent fasting most of my adult life well before it became a trend. I never eat breakfast and will have a small snack at lunch usually a piece of fruit just to keep my blood sugar from completely crashing. Then I eat a huge meal between 5-7 and am done eating for the day. Large amounts of black coffee throughout the day suppress my appetite. My weight has been between 175 and 185 lbs and around 10% body fat since my college days. |

ive been doing it too well before it became a fad. its a very powerful way to lose weight. and healthy... your body needs periods of no digestion for maintenance, just like anything else. if youre trying to lose weight fast, eat about 2,000 calories in a 6 hour period and nothing but water the rest of the day/night. its rough at first, but you feel great after awhile. do this 6 days a week. lately im trying to gain more muscle... so i only int fast two or three days a week (in a row). if I do 6 days a week i cant build muscle. always leave sunday open for unlimited food and alcohol. god wants you to |

I've done intermittent fasting off an on for a couple years following the 16 and 8 model. What I learned and observed is the following: 1 - You cannot just eat what you want in a shorter feeding window (IE 8 hours). There is still the rule calories in = calories out. 2 - You need to cut out alcohol and sugary drinks (energy drinks, sodas, and juice) -- Only drink water, tea, black coffee 3 - If you have sedentary lifestyle and don't do 1 and 2 above you will not lose weight (or very little weight) 4 - If you cut out carbs and limit amount of meat you eat in the given time frame of doing the intermittent fasting trial it will create multiplayer effect in the amount success in weight-loss you achieve. 4b - Try to drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables which all digest much easier and quicker than meat or carbs(bread) which if followed through your intermittent trial will aid greatly in your weight-loss. 5 - Get yourself a pedometer (IE Fit-Bit or similar to count steps) and try to achieve 10000 steps/day will also add to multiplier effect. 6 - its easier to just skip breakfast (just drink water or lemon water and do lunch / dinner) |
