You know we're living in crazy times when even Ray Dahlio recognizes the system is pretty fucked up...and set up so that the rich get richer and everybody else gets to watch. Quote: Ray Dalio didn’t mince words in a post on LinkedIn about the paradox of free money in the global economy he titled “The World Has Gone Mad and the System Is Broken.” “At the same time as money is essentially free for those who have money and creditworthiness, it is essentially unavailable to those who don’t have money and creditworthiness, which contributes to the rising wealth, opportunity, and political gaps,” the billionaire founder of investment management firm Bridgewater Associates wrote. Like other billionaires, maybe he's just getting soft in his old age. Of course, the pessimist in me thinks he's probably selling something. |

He is absolutely right. I think his model predicts a reset every 75 years or so, when debt becomes too large and has to be written off. |

If I were among GOP leadership, I would be pushing, nudging, coaxing, however you want to put it, Trump towards taking his victory lap. There's no way he's changing his stripes and becoming some "great unifier". If yesterday's election results didn't shock them off the Trump Train, there's going to be devastation come November of 2020. If I were the Dems, I would be worried that Donald actually does decide to take a victory lap and announce that he's riding off victorious into the sunset. |

I agree with the thought that Dems should be worried IF, Trump decided to ride off into the sunset. BUT it won't happen. I don't think Trump could pass up another chance to campaign and tell everyone how great he is. Me thinks he puts the original FIGJAM to shame. That job in particular has to be hard to walk away from if you enjoy being the center of attention. |
