What's everyone's opinion?

My wife and daughter just got back from meeting with a guy from Chicago. The things he specifically said were pretty impressive.

I've always believed in them.

Psychics, biology and botony are all part of an evil cadre of "science" studies that need to be eradictated from our places of learning.

People love to hear what they want to hear, even if they have to tell someone what they want to hear first and forget about it later.

Hunted down and beat if you come at my wife and child for visiting a psychic. Anyone who tries to come after people like Peoria Matt's family deserves to be curb stomped.

Always seemed like bullshit to me but it’d be cool if they were legit.

This guy said something very specific about one of our dogs that was freakishly accurate. Also a trait regarding my wife and finances along with other specific things.

Facebook creeping would be obvious if he required an advance booking. If you paid first, maybe he has an earpiece with somebody looking up shit on a computer in the back.

Him creeping my wife and I FB would be him seeing free food I'm trying to win and my wife posts maybe once every two or three weeks. We put no personal stories or info on FB.

Good entertainment but when they get something they really couldn't know correct does make you wonder.

It's no worse than astrology, which I have found astoundingly accurate, and much better than phrenology, which is largely bunk. I got a feeling last year from a discount phrenologist and he overestimated my IQ by thirty points. Anyway, ignore these ignorant SOBs.

One of my friends threw a psychic party every year. The psychic accurately gave the name of the guy I'd meet in college and marry.

I can’t speak for everyone but for anyone with a critical thinking brain it’s a load of hooey. Seriously a load of hooey. Zero chance of validity.

Ask them for stock picks. Keep going back until they are wrong. Buy an NBA team.

By coincidence, my wife had a party with a medium (or whatever they are called) that our neighbor knew about 3 weeks ago.

I tapped out before anyone came and went to the Noisewater Podcast Studios to drink and watch some SNL reruns. I've always been fascinated by this and have watched many shows analyzing how people unwittingly give too much information that gets repeated back to them as a "reading".

So, when my wife texted me not to come upstairs because she was starting with the women that were up there. I couldn't help myself and went up to listen to my wife's reading. It was pretty good. I had assumed since they had been chatting for 2 hours that Mrs. Dr. Ken had revealed enough info that the person could find a path to her details. The two I heard her do were about seeing "Family".

At the end of the night, they asked if I wanted to do it. I said sure. I was curious. I had never met this person. She had never heard me talk about anything so I was interested what she might say about my family.

She immediately said "What I see about you is work". OK, that's a pretty generic thing to say. I was pretty committed to yes or no answers. Work has been insane for me but, whatever. Then she described my exact department situation in precise detail. Freaked me out. Number of people, the way they dress, how old they were, what their career goals were and what that person looked like.

I still know it's a trick. But, it's a damn good one and I love magic.

To me, it reminded me of the mentalism trick of asking someone to think of any card in the deck, just think it clearly in your mind with the suit. Do you have it?

10% of the time it will be the Ace of Spades.

You will be wrong a lot but you will freak out many people. I’ve done this for 30 years and been right dozens of times.

That’s kind of amusing. If someone asks me to think of a card in my head I’m thinking if the most obscure card I can. 5 of clubs for me.

Not surprised.

If you know anyone who does that tarot card stuff, it's really scary. The one person I know who did it was later diagnosed with a thought disorder.
