-Be a better listener and have more patience at home
-Play more guitar
-Eat better. I should put a weight loss goal, but just overall better health- hence the walking golf courses.
-Which leads into; Shoot more rounds in the 80s

drink less. play more guitar. lose 10-12lbs. play more golf (even if it's the par 3 course by my house). spend more time outside. be patient. exercise.

Not make too many resolutions.

Continuing a choice from two months ago: When I'm home, eat my big meal of the day Sun-Thu before 5pm (either a big breakfast or a late lunch as I now work mostly 10-3:30) and just have a snack at the time I used to eat dinner like Kirkland chicken soup or cheese and dried fruit, or yogurt and granola. I've already lost 9 pounds doing that the last two months, only um-cough more to go.

But for real, a few of my goals are to pay off a lot of debt, raise credit score, get married, and get my stock portfolio up to 5k.

I'm down a good 15-20 lbs since from 1/1/19 to now, but I'd like to lose another 15.

So far it's not a good 2020.

Post subject:  Re: New Year's Resolutions

1. Be more patient and calm with my kids. Do more stuff with my kids.
2. Work on my yard and landscaping. I have been saying since I moved into my house that I want to remove my flagpole and plant a blue spruce and add some shrubs along my garage. This year it gets done.
3. Be more social with my friends and my fishing club. I tend to be a homebody and not socialize much. I need to start adapting the mantra “choose the bigger life.”
4. Enjoy the area more. I dream too much about being retired and living in Northern Michigan enjoying nature everyday. It depresses me to live in the area but I am pretty much stuck here till I retire. But the reality is that there is cool stuff to enjoy right here if you look for it. Our Forest Preserves are excellent with many hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife viewings. I was just out a couple days ago hiking and saw a couple nice bucks and a beautiful pileated woodpecker. It was a great morning. I have been saying for years that I should get a good camera and take up outdoor photography. I am going to start that hobby this year.
5. Improve my effort at work. I am paid pretty well and do an above-average job but I can do more.
6. Use my kayak and mountain bike more.

I’ve got a bunch fishing resolutions/goals too but I won’t bore you with those.
