The state added the following provision to the new law in effect tomorrow: Any person, business or landlord can prohibit use on private property. From talking with friends who rent, every one of them has said their landlord is banning its use. I can understand banning smoking it since it is in line with cigarettes due to fire concerns, but why edibles? As a result, people are either going to continue using it (as I'm sure most do today) OR its going to mean more people will be going to smoke shops to toke up, meaning more people will be out driving high. On top of this, it sounds like there is a ridiculous amount taxed on each sale. Won't people just continue getting it from their current sources? Sounds like either a lot of money is going to be made in law enforcement or they aren't going to make the money they expect because people aren't going to buy from legal shops. |

It’s no different than current bans on tobacco cigarette usage inside a rental property most landlords have. Smoke damages the unit and bothers other tenants |

How is a lot of money going to be made in law enforcement? There won't be any more prosecution for small possession. This isn't an either or. Even in Amsterdam, you can't smoke inside a hotel, for instance. |

If you don't allow people to smoke in their own apartment, you are forcing some of them to do it at the local shop or wherever. Catch them on the way home. |

This new law doesn't really affect me because I don't smoke it. But I do have a kid and a wife and we have a car and we're gonna be on the roads with these people. AFAIK, people smoke on the way to work or church or their probation officer in a way that drunk drivers don't (unless you live in Kenosha). I don't know what the right answer is, but this makes me a little uncomfortable. I don't have a choice. |

Half the people around her are smoking pot while driving already. Doesn’t seem to have much effect. Probably lowers road rage incidents. |

I'm just thinking that the cops are going to looking harder for it and a lot of first-timers are going to fuck up and leave something in their car or whatever. |

Do you have to show your driver's license to purchase at the dispensaries, like you would when buying Sudafed at CVS? I read the stores' inventory systems are linked with the State's tracking system. Seems like a good way to get on a blacklist. Plus, they're saying the taxes are over-the-top. You're getting gouged for legal weed. |

Also read that you can't use in the presence of anyone under 21. Going to be forcing a lot of sleepovers at other houses. |

They won't be - other than novices not understanding proper dosages. |

What is the cost difference buying legally from your guy? I am guessing since it is Illinois it is at least twice as much to buy legally. |

8ths are going for like $90 as the legal dispensaries. Crazy. This is going to be a cash cow for a while. |
