I can't relate getting to a point in life where you would think that's ok. |

I don't really care about etiquette or not, but anybody who takes their shoes off during a flight is an absolute moron. I don't care of its a puddle jumper from O'Hare to South Bend, or a long haul flight from JFK to Charles DeGaulle. If something happens to that plane and you have to climb over wreckage or stand out on the tarmac after using the emergency slide, you want to be wearing proper footware. |

Add in clipping fingernails on flights or at your office desk as well. |

The FAA should mandate passengers wearing footwear at all times. |

I usually wear loafers on flights and usually slide them off. But I got them suckable toes so it's all good. |

I’ve seen far worse things on a plane. Fat chicks for one. And people eating tuna out of the can with their figures while thumbing through the inflight magazine. |

First, I wouldn't call that punching. Second, she really doesn't seem to be invading his space at all. He is looking down at his tray table and appears to have plenty of room. If he just started doing that without asking politely if she would not recline, than he is the dick. |

He's clearly gone too far at this point...but we're missing contrxt. |

he should do it more cleverly. keep dropping his tray table up and down...pull back on the seat to "adjust himself"...cross his legs and dig into the back of the seat, etc. he looks like an amateur. |

He's the bad guy. Within reason. In the back of the plane, they're packed in like sardines. Last time I ended up back there, my knees were against the seat in front of me. If the person in front had tried to recline, they would have been unsuccessful. Had they pushed it, they would have been sorely disappointed |

If you weren’t supposed to recline the seat would not do it. Example is an exit row. Of course one should be nice and only recline as much as is necessary to get comfy. Also someone should take into account the person behind them in the back row. This person has done all this things as he has his tray down and on phone. Verdict: Dick |

Everyone but Southwest let's you pick your seats unless you buy one of those weird tickets where you save $15 by buying a mystery ticket where you don't know if you'll be sitting in the cargo hold or the main cabin.99% of the problems with airlines are with people who want the cheapest ticket possible but somehow don't understand that it comes with a lack of comfort. |

How does reclining the top of the seat 4" back affect the knees of the person behind them? Sorry, me not reclining because the guy behind me is tall is not an option. Buy the tickets with more leg room. |

Buy the tickets with more leg room. For me, the hinges on the seat in front of me are right at my knees. When we went to Mexico...for the flight to Houston, the woman in the seat in front of me reclined as far back as possible, then proceeded to bounce in the seat to try and get comfortable. That actually hurt more than the hinges twisting on my knees. And I got the death stare when I asked her to stop bouncing. |

Eliminate reclining altogether. |
