Anyone else notice many people seem to just drive around with their high beams on all the time. Really gets my goat...

They are newer HID/LED headlights. They are kinda ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's always the case. Maybe.

High beams in my eyes

My truck gets flashed at for having high beams on... they don’t like it when I flash the actual highs back. Have had them checked, they are aimed properly, probably a problem just because it’s up in the air more than the cars are. Just a stock f250.

You'll see some car from the 70s or 80s once in a while and it looks like they have candles for headlights.

I had a cousin if people wouldn't turn their brights off he would totally turn his headlights off for a bit. They always then turned their brights off. Was a rough ride.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's always the case. Maybe.

This happens when schmucks go to Auto Zone and buy HID bulbs but put them in halogen housings. HID bulbs should only be put into the correct housings with the correct ballasts.

I think it's also the case with newer Lexus' & Infinitis as well. I hate the damn things.

I believe a lot of newer luxury brand models have auto leveling lights, and it is possible the leveling occasionally leaves the beams aimed a bit too high.

But in proper applications, HID lights should have a brighter, but crisper light and should be illuminating the road well without impacting the cars in front of you. (Unless you're in a lifted bro-truck, in which case, fuck you and DIAF.)

The one car I have with factory hid lights are auto leveling and adjust with your turn as well...it is a very crisp light but I don’t get many people flashing brights at me.

Sounds right. I do imagine that 99% of factory equipped HID lights are operating as they should.
