What is one of the most frivolous and useless things you have ever bought?

Another twist, say you are given $1000 today. You have to spend it on something fun. Doesn't matter if your car needs brakes or your furnace took a crap. You can't save it. Sort of like Brewster's Millions, this is Coztansa's Thousand. Its GONE if you don't spend it all by this weekend. What would you spend a grand on that may be totally unneeded, but fun.

An aside, let's try not to 'Carona' or Politicize this thread.

Go!

Never been with a hooker, never did blow.

Honestly, I would spend the $1,000 on a trip to Hawaii.

Probably book a 3 day trip to SoCal or Vegas. That or wrap it in a downpayment for a mk7.5 GTI.

Spent $35k on a boat that appeared to only need a little fixing up. Within a couple years, I had dropped probably $300k into it and it still wasn't right. Then it sank in a hurricane.

Honestly thinking about all the crap I have in my basement, I'm reminded of the corner filled with sporting equipment acquired over the many years. Golf clubs, tennis racket, in line & hockey skates I bought back when few I knew actually engaged in any of those activities.

The golf clubs got tossed in after my old neighbor offered me a old set of Ping clubs and a bag literally a week after I got my own.

And now that I think of it, the racing bike I've had for decades and broke a hip on in a crash years ago and probably have riden a dozen times in the 29 years since. At least my sons got kicks racing it up and down the lakefront tho.

Tickets to something: Either cubs game behind the dugout or rolling stones (was gone last year when they were in Chicago).

I never should have purchased a new driver end of last year. It was a waste of $400 when I had a perfectly good one. I may turn around and sell it if it doesn’t get any use early this year.

$1,000 would cover Disney Park tickets for 4 days for 2 people.

Strymon Timeline Delay Pedal and and an XBox-One X...with a little left over to go out to dinner.

Most frivolous: I bought a used automatic poultry feeder setup with the intentions to repurpose it for feeding my cows- it's been three years and it still sits on a wagon, unused. Shockingly, an old wheelbarrow and bucket still work.

My local firearms store has several items to spend at least $1000 on that I would like, but don't really need.

I'm shopping for new boots online to spend "Christmas money" on, not $1K, but a couple hundred

When my grandparents passed away I received a small 5 figure inheritance. I immediately bought a $3,000 guitar and we went to Miami for a week.

Future looking: been restraining myself from buying a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon but not sure how much longer I can hold out. The '05 Passat served me well but she's looking a bit haggard lately.

Honestly if I couldn't pay a bill with it or save it for a rainy day I would probably just buy a bunch of $25 Burger King and Starbucks gift cards for the assholes at the shelter.
