a weber genesis will last forever. for me if i was going to buy a gas grill, it would either be a weber genesis or and MHP. MHP's in my opinion is a top brand of gas grill. |

Not tankless. I've always grilled on Weber products. I'd go with it. |

my $140 3 burner charbroil advantage grill is still going relatively strong after 5 or 6 years. just replaced the grates a couple weeks ago. keep it covered so that has helped it last. i dont see myself spending a crazy amount of money on a grill. |

That's a good point, make sure whatever you buy has good and available "replacement" parts. Often it's just a hose or grate you need to replace, not that entire grill. |

I replaced everything on a Weber two years ago. It was left here when we bought our house. After that though, the paint would smoke on the inside of the grill if the temp got over 400 degrees. I waited until the end of last season and I bought an off brand with a side burner for $350 bucks off. The Weber was taken off the curb Sunday by a scrapper. |

It turns out there isn't any paint that will smoke because there isn't any paint on the inside of the grill. That's actually a layer of solid smoke that can be cleaned. I had so much it looked like the paint was chipping.I still ended up upgrading to a new one though. |

The Genesis is a great product. I like the porcelain enamel look more than the SS look |

We installed an entire outdoor kitchen for a client out in Barrington Hills. Pretty amazing. My old nextdoor neighbor picked up one with the built in smoker. They're phenomenal pieces of handmade craftsmanship, built right here in the good old USA. Of course you could buy 20 Weber Genesis's instead. |

My friend who got me into the whole meat smoking thing tried the Traeger. Liked the convenience of it, but took it back after 2 cooks. Just wasn't as good as the Smokey Mountain. the Smokey mountain takes some committment, but it's well worth it. I love mine. |
