Post subject:  So I hurt my ribs while sneezing
Moderate discomfort on lower left side. Hurts to to sneeze or take a deep breath. Anyone ever have this happen to them before? Really do not want to go in to a doctor right now.

Very unlikely that you broke anything. You probably just angered the cartilage between 2 ribs. All they are going to do is tell you to manage the pain or give you something to manage the pain.

I did something like this once after a series of sneezes. It was not moderate discomfort, though, It was goddamn painful, to the point of tearing up when I would cough or sneeze. Got better after a week or so.

My guess is you probably strained some cartilage or something like that.

Almost impossible to sleep since rolling over is excruciating.

Ten years ago I herniated a disc in my back trying not to sneeze. Laid up for two weeks almost needed surgery.

I don't know if a broken rib or kidney stone is more painful but they both hurt like hell.

Kidney stones were the worst pain I ever felt. Sleeping last night was rough as I couldn't really move at all. Atleast this morning it doesn't hurt when I'm laying still.

I did something to my neck once when I was shampooing, and it hurt like hell for a week. I could not turn my head from side to side.
