It’s as elusive as the unicorn

Forget this. I’m getting my confederate flag and joining the protest

It's getting to be like one of those end of the world cults. The leader gives the end date and when nothing happens he moves the date back.

Yes, that was a fantastic miniseries. Great performances from the entire cast.

I was told the governor said mid May. I honestly don't see people putting up with this for another month. Let the protests begin.

msnbc has been absolutely trashing trumps handling of this.

now i will agree the money allocation to help businesses is not being done right. I mean shit, i took a pay cut and the stimulus money was supposed to prevent that.

but as far as everything else i appreciate. i appreciate the lying about the testing. i appreciate the lying about the cures. all because i agree that the greater good matters more than those at high risk. we arent talking about a large population at risk here. this isnt that big of a deal. the media is making it a big deal and its causing mass hysteria.

theyre usually nowhere near fox level of bullshit, but on the virus thing its the exact same level of bullshit. they even show facts on the screen and have a completely fucked way of looking at it. like we cant even interpret numbers properly.

We always joke about the "2 more weeks" thing in our house too...usually talking about the schools closing thing, but same difference.

But I kinda get the "2 weeks" thing.
On March 15, nobody knew what this was gonna look like down the road. So the 3 options were:

1. Do nothing
2. Make decisions in "small chunks"
3. Go nuclear and shut everything down for 6 months, when nobody else has done that

There is no turning around from option 3.
Option 1 could be catastrophic, for obvious reasons.
Option 2 seems...not ideal, but better than the other 2.

Okay we just saw psuh back on Lightfoot for trying to expand her "emergency" powers past the legal time limit. Wisconsin is doing the same thing. It looks like the Gov of California is soon to be buried in a shit ton of lawsuits for how he is handling the "crisis". Now who is going to step up when Pritzger tries to go past his 30 day limit?

We are doing "none" of those options.

The Black Plague in Florence in 1348 lasted for three years. If you believe this plague will be over soon, you're delusional.

If the restrictions are relaxed, there will just be more and more waves of it. Time to stay in the bunker.
