I was supposed to have a root canal done today at an endodontist office in the high rise building in Oak Brook Mall, until I got a phone call this morning at 8:30 a.m., telling me the mall has been closed by police because of potential unrest. I'm like, are you serious?

I wouldnt be too upset if they torched the Orland Mall. The only thing in town worse than the mall is the jump park and fun factory. What an absolute hell hole the whole area is.

The traffic patterns in and out of there are a nightmare. You literally can't get out of a parking lot aisle when it's busy you have to force your way out and pray the other car stops. I'm surprised it hasn't led to a shooting.

There have been shootings there. Not sure it was parking related though.
I have always parked downstairs by the Sears and still do. Even when it was open there wasnt anybody going in there. Little further walk but easy outs.

Not an emergency but it needs attention, because I have had an abscess. The appointment was rescheduled to Thurs.

Actually, the endodontist is very good, Dr. Penesis is his name. I went to him before for another root canal and he did an outstanding job.

$1,500 is a lot of money to shell out for a tooth, but this one is a lower molar. I have to save it.

My old dentist, Dr. Jacobs, had an office above Lockwood Castle at Devon and Central. He would take calls from his bookmaker while he was working on my teeth. He had a weird message on his answering machine. One day it was played on Brandmeier's Answering Machine Olympics. It was a jingle that went something like this:
