Sure, I love being able to have a party outside with grilled food. Also, its a great day to go to a baseball game.

However, Father's Day gets de emphasized where it is right now so close to both Mother's Day and 4th of July. Anything you would want out of the day, from grilling to baseball to golf, can also be done in mid September. However, under my plan a father can also do what he loves best, watch football.

So, I hereby propose that Father's Day is moved to the third weekend of September.

I concur.

meh.....I could care less about this made up Hallmark holiday. My Dad is coming over, but I'd be glad to have him over any Sunday of the year. Same with seeing my own kids.

You just want it moved because of your annual Scouts camping trip that happens to fall on Father's Day weekend MANY years.

Sunday's are holidays during the football season as long as you put your foot down or your kids have no events. No need to have women around passing out useless gifts or forcing you to buy the food that you'll have to grill. That's a great way to miss a Bears game or not be able to enjoy it.

I loved that it fell on Father's Day. It was a very Father's Day type of thing. However, we are well past the scouting age. My oldest kid is going to college in two months.

Better idea, and I think I could become President on this platform:

Move MLK day to the Monday after the Super Bowl. Honor him at halftime every year, and everyone gets Monday off versus a Monday in January shortly after we’ve had the Christmas/New Years’s holidays.

That date will change with the expansion of playoffs and 17+ game schedule.

Yes, the actual date of the holiday would change each year (like President’s Day), but it would always be the Monday after the Super Bowl.

Grilling food is much more enjoyable than watching like 75% of Bear games.

You were my brother and something has happened to you. I hope that I get my brother back before the end of 2020.

Denied. The US Open is better than any stupid football game.

I see your golf comment and raise you 3.5 hours of the QB standing over center yelling HUT HUT HUT.

FACT: There's more action in a sunday golf tournament than in a NFL game.
