Looks like this may happen instead of a stimulus. Where's everyone gonna go? |

I think it could probably still be pretty easily used for international travel as long as you book your flight through a US carrier's website. You can game it by booking any Star Alliance flight through UA, or whatever your network is. The only real issue I have with this credit is will mean everywhere will be FLOODED with people domestically and you really are going to need to think hard about picking somewhere that wont be a mob scene. Unless you are doing the Vegas thing where the crazier the better. |

Can i use it at my local bar to help the struggling local businesses? Or is it just a bail out to the travel industry and fuck you if I don't want to do that? |

Applebee's will accept it I'm shocked that Frank isn't here being outraged. I never though the airlines were the reason he was so upset about Red Robin being closed. |

I'd rather get a $4000 tax credit than a $1200 check. |

This thread is going to filled with so called conservatives being happy about the government telling them how to spend their money and it's going to be wonderful. |

You know, its very revelatory when the liberals who decry the inequity of the American system are the same people who cant seem to figure out what a tax credit is. Or would rather have less money now than almost three times as much money less than a year from now. It is perhaps this type of financial ignorance and short-sightedness that causes such disillusionment with the system and not any sort of fault with the system itself. |

It's a tax credit up to $4K only if you spend the amount. Seems pointless for people who are unemployed. |

Well because real estate is fine and the auto industry is probably going to be OK too. Though this Hertz thing is going to leave a bruise. |

Obviously written by somebody who hasn’t even read the proposal. |
