Unilever says it will stop advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at least until the rest of the year, joining a number of companies that have pulled ads from Facebook over the social network's failure to police racist and violent information.

Here are some of the well-known companies that are participating in the boycott so far.

AB Bernstein analyst Mark Shmulik said in a note on Friday that he expects advertiser participation in the boycott to continue to climb on both Facebook and Instagram. While previously it was hard to know which individual users were really deleting their accounts, major advertisers such as Coca-Cola are highly visible. Mr. Shmulik says the public nature of today’s debate will create peer pressure for brands. As of Monday morning, a list compiled by MKM Partners includes 184 companies that have joined the movement.

I don't remember exactly what they do which is odd since they are so well-known.

The virtue signaling is a sneaky brilliant money preservation maneuver. yep. just like all the paycuts after businesses took government loans. its just an excuse to make a money saving move. my company cut pay and told us we have to work harder to keep the company afloat. unbeknownst to them it backfired because everyone just stopped giving a fuck. the loss of efficiency in production didnt really get noticed because the government loans and paycuts were a massive influx of revenue.

Hitler had corps on board early because they were the easiest. Self interest is not only the bottom line, it's the only line.
