To get the obvious joke out of the way no I’m not the father

Adopted a dog a week ago today
There were some warning signs I should have seen, but long story short she’s pregnant
It’s a hound of some kind , smallish-medium . Vet says it’s 3-4 puppies

I didn’t want a puppy and can’t take care of one

Shelter I got her from says get her spayed (abortion)
My longtime vet won’t do it bc she’s too far along (halfway)
Said it would be the equivalent of a human having one at 5 months

Another nearby local vet the shelter works with will do it
But my vet says a tech is willing to foster her while she has them and while they wean , then I take her back

But I can’t keep any of the puppies anyway , so the only thing then is whether the puppies live or die . But also they could be inbred or have other issues

Go with this, people always want puppies.

WOMAN AT YET ANOTHER TABLE (to her date): Let's go!

ELAINE (to Poppie): And I am not coming back!

POPPIE: You're not welcome!

JERRY: Well, I'm certainly glad I brought it up.
