Hire Theo as team president to get this organizational structure re set. Give him power over everything, including the ability to launch any Halas/Mc Caskeys he finds sleeping in their offices (they are still owners, just not employees). Let him handle all the big picture items, restructuring all the departments as necessary. DO NOT GIVE HIM A CHECKBOOK TO MAKE ANY FIELD EMPLOYEE DECISIONS.

Let him hire a GM. I feel really confident that he would put in the necessary time to find some great executive. Empower that GM to handle all the Bears field employee decisions.

I really think this is the kind of new challenge a guy like Theo would be willing to undertake. I also think he is at his best when reorganizing to create an avenue to acquire the best players, not in actually acquiring specific players.

He thought Noah was just an absolute bum. And he would never budge on that opinion no matter how good Noah played or how much he did in the league.

I hated the Noah pick when it was made, but I grew to love the dude. He worked his ass off and was a really good player for an extended time for the Bulls.

I fully admit I don't follow, nor care about the existence of the NBA, but wasn't Noah having issues with plantar fasciitis during good chunks of his run here?

IIRC the year Noah won DPOY, All NBA First Team, and came 4th in MVP voting COF was still insisting he should've even be in the league

No guy that you draft will be better than Foles. How soon Bears fans here have already forgotten the clutch games he won early on. He beat Brady again (the only Bears quarterback to do that) and went toe-to-toe with the Saints, who were/are a good football team, before losing in OT on a field goal. He's a winner. Your coach and GM, not so much.

If you threw everything you had at the OL and receivers, the Bears could be competitive again next year. That's the shortest route to the playoffs. The long way is to blow it up again, with no guarantee you will be better. I would not draft a QB next year. This is a bad year for QBs.
