They're everywhere.

Besides the obvious, what goes on at these places?

As you know, Furious shuns gambling and things of that nature.

It's video games, like Dave and Busters.

It seems like these places are always being used as pop up stores or seasonally themed bars

I forgot the exact reason, but it had something to do with the lawmakers wanting to keep the machines in bars and keep a limit on the number of machines per place. But the law didnt say bar, it just said liquor license.

So these little places are owned by "chains" and nominally sell liquor. As far as I can tell they cater to the senior riverboat slot crowd who just want to waste $50 while talking to their girlfriends.

The one in Carol Stream (north of Wendy's on Schmale) does a good carry-out pizza business.
