https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/the-ta ... 234930387/ “The Talk” will go on a brief hiatus, canceling its live shows for Monday and Tuesday, Variety has confirmed. The news comes after CBS announced that it would be launching a probe into an episode earlier this week that saw Sharon Osbourne get into a heated exchange with co-host Sheryl Underwood after defending Piers Morgan’s comments about Meghan Markle. |

My opinion is that Markle is just a sociopathic buffoon, similar to Julie DiCaro but with a higher IQ, a prettier face, and a sexier body. And I don't think I'm the only one who has caught on to that. But to say that the disdain for her is due to her being biracial, I think is way off base. The British people as a whole are just as progressive as we are in the U.S. I think most of them thought it was about time that the royal family got a little new blood, if you will. Sure there are the stodgy old people who are going to shake their heads because she is a Yank, maybe even because she is black, but those are the same people who were scandalized because Kate is a commoner. Those people are a small minority. Brits were ready to love Princess Meghan. All you have to do is look at the crowds lined up for her and Harry's wedding. Those people were thrilled just to be able to wave at her. I don't know who Sheryl Underwood is. I assume she's American. What I do know is that Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan are British. And it's hard for Americans to get our heads around the feelings that the English have for their monarchy. It's not a lot different than trying to explain cricket to a guy from Enid, OK. I had a good friend named Albert. He was a Jamaican immigrant. He loved America the way only an immigrant can. And Albert was a Republican. Very conservative. But in spite of being Joe America, my friend Albert had this strange- well, strange to me, anyway- this strange reverence for Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family. Whenever I would bust his balls about it he would become very frustrated and say, "C'mon mahn, me grow up in da British system." |

The strangest part of this story is that Morgan seemingly got in trouble for doubting that she was contemplating killing herself but it seemingly turned into that he was racist for his comments on Markle to the point that her saying that he wasn't a racist was grounds for backlash against her. It seems to me that at best with Morgan you could say "Well, maybe it's not a good thing to say" and everyone knew it so they had to throw in accusations of racism on comments that had nothing to do with race to make it worthy of being a big deal. I actually think it proves Morgan's point. For some reason, it's considered out of bounds to criticize her for anything. |

Meghan Markle is so transparently a grifter and terrible person. She clearly did this to get out in front of the bullying reports that were already coming out. Being a quarter black is enough to claim that actually she is the victim. |

And this surprises you in today’s day and age? Piers Morgan said something that wasn't racist, but people in the media and on social media said it was racist in order to manufacture a problem where one does not exist. When the topic came up on her show, Sharon Osbourne said: Quote: “Did I like everything he said? Did I agree with what he said? No,” Osbourne said. “Because it’s his opinion. It’s not my opinion… I support him for his freedom of speech, and he’s my friend.” “I’m not racist… I don’t care what color or what religion anyone is,” she went on. “Are you a nice person? That’s what I judge you on.” In response, Underwood asked, “What would you say to people who may feel that while you’re standing by your friend, it appears you gave validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don’t agree? Am I saying it right?” “Educate me, tell me when you have heard him say racist things?” Osbourne replied. “I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?” That resulted in Osbourne's show being put on hiatus while CBS conducts an investigation. The tide is clearly turning. None of this matters. It has no meaningful impact. |

Sharon Osbourne is one of the most fraudulant, evil, and manipulative people in the entertainment business. While this discussion is really a nothing-burger....she wasn't wrong. Man....that hurts me to say that. |

Officially whacked. That mealy-mouthed statement from CBS is gold . Basically says " If youre white, dont argue or disagree with anything the black host is saying ok ? " Saying goodbye. Sharon Osbourne will not be returning to The Talk following the fallout surrounding her comments defending controversial friend Piers Morgan. CBS announced on Friday, March 26, that Osbourne, 68, has “decided to leave” the show, which will return with new episodes on Monday, April 12. “The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home. As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her cohosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace. We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts,” the statement obtained by Us Weekly read. “At the same time, we acknowledge the network and studio teams, as well as the showrunners, are accountable for what happened during that broadcast as it was clear the cohosts were not properly prepared by the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion involving race.” The network added that they have been “coordinating workshops, listening sessions and training about equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for the hosts, producers and crew.” Additionally, CBS said, “going forward, we are identifying plans to enhance the producing staff and producing procedures to better serve the hosts, the production and, ultimately, our viewers.” |
