Researcher: The average Twitter user reads for eighteen minutes a day. The average Julie fan reads Twitter for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.
SpiralStairs: How could this be?
Researcher: Answer most commonly given: "I want to see what she'll say next."
SpiralStairs: All right, fine. But what about the people who hate Julie?
Researcher: Good point. The average Julie hater reads for two and a half hours a day.
SpiralStairs: But... if they hate her, why do they read?
Researcher: Most common answer: "I want to see what she'll say next."
