Vote.

They all sound like bad U2 albums.

Unprecedented.
Yeah. Tell that to anyone living in London between July and October of 1940. Or anyone who lived through the depression. These times were far from the most terrifying times this country has seen, even in quite recent history. It's repuslively egotistical to call these times "unprecedented".

Nothing to do with this but I'm going to throw it here because I'm watching the news.

What if that fire jumping cat is dead? Everybody got a chuckle from watching the cat jump 5 stories and bounce on its feet.

Now, nobody can find it and you can see the news reports are becoming a bit more serious about what happened to that crazy cat we all laughed at the video of.

It probably slunk off to a dark place and died from its injuries. That what all of our farm cats used to do when they died.

Happy Friday.

You okay, Noisy? You seem like you got something bubbling just below the surface the last few days.

Seems like the cat hid under a car until it caught its breath and then tried to climb back into the building.

Sorry. Too dark?

I’ll lighten things up.

I’ll bet that famous crazy cat is balls-deep in pus…no…I’d have to use a mult to make that joke.

You’re very perceptive.

I thought I was in classic 2007/08 form.

I’m staging a short-term personal rebellion.

I’ll be back to old person Dr. Ken mode by Sunday.

Yeah Spaulding is on to something. It’s sort of got the feel of Jack Torrance’s first week at the Overlook Hotel.

I like the new Ken. This is the best he’s been since he started the thread of how to move two giant fucking plants.

 Did I start a thread on that? JC, I've been here a long time.

That was hard.

They died too. Not like a farm cat, just regular.

In my defense, I spent nearly a decade here as a trillionaire (before those were real things) that lived in a castle with a moat and TM as a doorman and nobody thought that was strange.

OK. I’ll be normal again.

I just saw that UFOs are real.

That’s my thing. I need to check into that. Feeling a bit like Simeon.

You should be who you need to be, however you want to identify is fine. We are here and will accept you.

I'm struggling this week. Feel like I'm back at square one.

Professionally or personally?

I’m not sure what square one is for you. Let’s open up the Drinky Board in here.

I’m being far more cryptic than you. Spill.

I got into the habit of listening to Fox News during the evenings as a white noise sleep-aid.

To be clear using it as a boredom tool is not an endorsement of Fox News.

They just did lead with UFOs are real but we will get to that later because that David kid from Florida would rather wear a mask than be a conservative...over UFOs are real...

Both it's kind of tied together. Fall of 2019 I went back to school to get an assoc degree in Baking and Pastry after a few years of feeling pretty worthless/stagnent/bored. I did well the first semester and was happy but covid mostly wrecked this past year. I dropped the classes last spring, dropped the labs I started with in the fall and took mostly online stuff. Some classes won't be offered as it should in the fall.

I started working at a cupcake place a few months ago hoping to get better with the decorating. They hired a decorator too at the same time so I feel like I got a little bumped and now I have the job of a 17 year old and that's not what I want. I have no idea what's going to happen with the labs that I didn't get to take my finals on this past week. I think it will take me forever to graduate and I'm not even sure I can do it. So I'm back to having little purpose as my kids need less and I don't really see a future. Just bummed and I don't know that I'll ever be consistent and good at baking.

Maybe that's the source of your issues. :P

I'm worried about my son too. I think he has friends but he is still not going out much.

I’d say more a by-product than a source. But, point taken.

It is unfortunate that your goals were delayed by these unprecedented times before the bridge phase brings us to the new normal.

But, seriously, it is a delay. Don’t give up on it. You’re young and you have lots of time to reinvent yourself. It is easy to think that everything is too late to start something but you’ve already started. That’s the hard part. Stick it out if that’s your passion. If you’ve realized it isn’t, sunk cost, and move on to the next thing.

If you need a taste tester, I’m your guy. Have to ship to Houston, though. :D

Stick with it and you’ll get better.

I don't know what the next thing would be. That's tough too. I'm old. I'm fat too.
