Why does an old paper mill have 200,000 lithium batteries? |

I'll bet it was Old Man Jenkins who set that fire to keep people away from the old paper mill. And he'd have gotten away with it too...if it hadn't been for those meddling kids. |

I don't know how Solider Field survives with one team moving to Arlington Park and the other moving to Morris. |

Kinda crazy that for the second time in less than two weeks there is a giant, almost statewide MABAS response to a fire that has to burn itself out. They can't even use foam on these batteries. |

I can see the smoke from my house. The guy is in deep shit. You can't store batteries in a run down shithole like that. |

i worked at Underwriters Laboratory for a few years and the battery consumption/storage/disposal process in that place were crazy. Necessary. But strict. To this day I dont dispose of my batteries unless both ends are covered and unable to connect. There was an incident where someone had batteries in their pocket and the +/- ends lined up and dude ended up getting burned |

I'm of the belief that anyone in the Chicago suburbs can say they are from Chicago unless you are in Indiana. |

Apparently used an unapproved product that had some lovely toxins in it near the rock river for the first half of their containment effort. In ruth though, its not like the Rock was clean to begin with. |
