So Japan spent a bunch of money building event venues for the Olympics and i assume more money upgrading local infrastructure.... and now there will be no spectators. You lose your ass hosting these games under normal conditions and the benefit of tourism dollars. |

LA in 2028 might be the only one that will not lose money since they are mostly using existing venues. |

The 1992 dream team games popped up on Youtube for me the past two days so I watched a few minutes. Bird and Magic were washed up and the Dream Team could have been better if Rodman was on the team. They gave up so many 2nd and 3rd chances on the defensive end. |

Frankly I can do without any Olympiad in Asia. Everything on tape delay is always disjointed and now really anti climactic. |

I happened to be in Sweden for work during parts of both the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. It was so nice to watch the English language Eurosport feed because they showed events from start to finish, and not the NBC bullshit of only showing the three favourites and the three Americans. It was 12 hours straight, then 12 hours of replay straight, no host. |
