Almost Halloween time, so now’s as good as ever… Let’s move past controversial topics like whether the US won WW2 or whether Denis has a clear landing zone somewhere in Spiral. What’s your favorite candy? I’m a Reese’s guy myself and have already started my annual 2 bags a week for 2 months trend. For the non-diabetics in the crowd, what’s your poison? |

Mother Russia won WW2. US has never won one on their own, unless the Civil War counts. |

This is why critical race theory must be taught. Candy. Jesus. |

How much did he weigh after you dried him off? |

Hershey’s milk is put thru a process that produces butyric acid which is in things like spoiled milk and Parmesan cheese. Some people don’t like it. Take 5 and snickers are what I raid out of my kids bags. Brachs caramel royals, Sunkist fruit gems, and kits were faves when I was little. Kathryn beich caramel bars and life saver swirl pops were the best. |

The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup is the greatest thing ever, especially when they have been in the fridge. |

Reese's are great. There is a local restaurant out here that makes and sells huge, over-sized peanut butter cups and they are tasty but WAY too much of a good thing, its hard to get through an entire one. The traditional, 2-cups-to-a-package Reese's peanut butter cups are hard to beat. As far as candy bars go, Krackel will always be my one and only. |

Adam Ragusea! Also a musical contributor to one of my favorite podcasts - The Greatest Generation. His stuff is good. I watch History Channel or one of those channels for the series The Food That Built America. Said Hershey had a hard time reverse-engineering the chocolate he had tried in Europe and had a batch where the milk had soured a bit and said that was the formula to use. So, that's why European chocolate tastes different for us in the US because we grew up eating Hershey's. Maybe it isn't true but it was interesting to watch. I also love the Take 5. |

In Junior college, I worked with a guy who's wife worked at the Tootsie Roll factory. He always had candy to pass out. Every so often, he would bring in Dots or Tootsie Rolls that were literally just off the production line. So fresh that they were actually still warm. So fresh that some of them were loose in a ziplock baggie because the glue on the wrappers hadn't yet solidified to hold closed. By far, THE best candy I have ever had. |
