Watching the bulls and the angle they were showing a free throw from just reminded me of how bizarre it was that Nick Van Exel used to shoot his a couple feet behind the line. What are some other great ones? |

Didn't Wade Boggs used to eat a bucket of chicken before each game? That seems weird. |

I don't know if it could be classified as a quirk, but my dad was a huge Red Sox fan back in the day, and I remember as kid watching a game with him and Bob Montgomery came to the plate, a grizzled old catcher they had and it struck me that he wasn't wearing a batting helmet. This had to have been '78 or '79. Helmets became mandatory in '71, but players in the league before that time were grandfathered in and could refuse to wear it if they chose, and years later this guy was still batting with only his hat on and even as a kid I thought that was crazy. He was the last player to ever bat without a helmet back in '79. |

Wade Boggs had a bunch - he would draw a Chai in the batters box, take BP at 5:17 PM every time he could and eat chicken before each game. |

For me it used to be the way Adrian Dantley shot his free throws. Willie Stargell and the way he twirled the bat. The Batting stance of Rickey Henderson and Rod Carew The way Jamaal Wilkes shot his jump shot too. Shawn Kemp hooper run |
